Location The Gettysburg Convention Center is located in Gettysburg, PA and just minutes away from the most popular historic attractions, restaurants, hotels, and shopping areas. All conference hotels are either connected via a passage to the Convention Center or located directly across the street from the Convention Center conference site. Parking There is ample parking at and around the Gettysburg Convention Center. Meeting Space Located in the heart of Gettysburg, the Exhibit Hall consists of an unobstructed 46,000 square feet, with a ceiling height of 35 feet to the open beam. The truss ceiling of the hall allows for easy placement of signs, banners and stage lighting. In addition to the exhibit hall, an additional 11,000 square foot lobby may be used for additional exhibits or check-in area.

In 1761, one of these early settlers, Samuel Gettys, established a tavern in the area. Just twenty-five years later, his son James had laid out a town of 210 lots with a central town square on the land surrounding the tavern. The town today is Gettysburg. At this time, Gettysburg was part of York County. But by 1790, the growing population of the area decided to separate from York County.
A new county was approved by the state legislature in 1800 and was named after the President at the time, John Adams. Gettysburg was chosen as the county seat.
