Location The Fort Worth Convention Center is located in downtown Fort Worth, TX and spans 14 blocks of the city's Central Business District. The convention center has adequate space for conferences, conventions, sporting events, corporate meetings, concerts, banquets, trade shows, and consumer shows. Parking To park in the convention center parking garage, stay on Houston, turn left on Lancaster - take a left onto Commerce St. The entrance to the parking garage will be two blocks on the right. Meeting Space Located in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, the Convention Center has 253,226 total square feet of exhibit space, including a 182, 266 Sq. Ft. Exhibit Hall. There are 41 separate meeting rooms and a 28,160 square foot Ballroom for meal events and meeting.

Fort Worth began in 1849 as a military post to protect a few struggling ranchers from American Indian attacks. When the camp dissolved, the settlement became a trading post. After the Civil War the dusty trails were filled with longhorns as Texas cowboys came to town. On their heels were adventure-seekers, trailhands who lived it up for a night, dreamers who rode on, and the American Indians, outlaws and settlers who stayed to make Fort Worth their home. The bubble of high hopes burst in 1873 when the first railroad, left stranded in nearby Dallas by a financial panic, failed to come to town. Unlike settlers in many Texas boomtowns, some Fort Worth citizens stayed and convinced the Texas and Pacific Railroad they could finish the 26 miles of roadbed before the land grant expired.
